Teton Pines Country Club Racket Sports Professional

Teton Pines Country Club is nestled in stunning Jackson Hole, WY, and has the only indoor, year round facility in the area. Teach tennis and enjoy all that the Tetons and greater Yellowstone National Park area have to offer.

Job Description

The primary objective of this position is teaching tennis lessons and assisting the Director of Racket Sports in implementing an effective tennis program. Specific job duties include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Teaching group and private tennis lessons to men and women of all ages and abilities. 
  2. Light maintenance work both on and off the court.  Court maintenance includes, but is not limited to trash pickup, water and cups on court, vacuuming and helping to put up windscreens, nets and court equipment.
  3. Operate and assist with set up of all ball machines.
  4. Setting up matches for players.
  5. Stringing racquets (optional but desire to learn is needed)
  6. Staff tennis professionals may be required to meet one of these requirements:
  • work a minimum of 10 hours per week during the summer season (June – August)
  • be available to work weekends during the winter season (Sept – May) and/or early evenings

Reports To: Director of Racket Sports

Minimum Job Requirements: The tennis pro must display a positive attitude at all times and possess good communication skills. Strong teaching and playing background is a must. A teaching certification (USPTA or PTR) is preferred but not required. The tennis pro must be able to effectively sell oneself both on and off the court, possess an outgoing personality and show self initiative. A good general knowledge of the tennis industry is a must. 

Wage: $55-$75/hr DOE for teaching time; $20/hr for non-tennis time
